Each pack needs a cartridge to function! Every pack is shipped with 2 canisters, one for test and one for use.

  If you replace your test cartridge all you have to add is the refill fee and you have 2 full release units on hand!

 You HAVE TO test your pack once before you use it in a real environment - see downloads for test form!

If you do not test you pack within 1 month after purchase AND before the first use, you will lose product liability.

Conditions of Delivery:

1. Shipping cost apply depending on the amount if packs shipped. 1 pack with 2 canisters = 22 US$, 25cdn$, 20 Euros.
2. Damaged or defective goods shall be returned to the distributor forthwith and the distributor shall be notified of the return within ten days of shipment of the returned goods;
3. Until the purchase price for the goods is fully paid to the distributor, title to the goods shall remain in the distributor.
4. Monies owing from the distributor shall not be offset against any amount owed to the distributor;
5. Free Shipping to the following countries for packs and packs/cartridge bundles: USA, Canada, EC-countries. If you buy cartridges /accessories only, actual shipping costs will be added to your bill. We will notify you about actual shipping costs.
6. This contract shall be governed by the laws of Canada. Any litigation or other proceeding with respect to this contract shall take place in Whistler, BC, Canada .

Conditions of Sale:

1. The ABS is an instrument which will, under certain conditions, prevent the total burial of the wearer under a snow avalanche. However, ABS can not prevent the release of snow avalanches and it is important for the wearer to note that lives are at risk in any avalanche, whether or not the ABS is being used;
2. The ABS can only be operated and carried in back packs designed for that purpose. Back packs suitable for use with the ABS shall be designated as such by the application of an ABS logo on the back pack;
3. For proper protection and operation, the ABS must be used in accordance with the instructions for use which accompany the unit together with any updates which are issued from time to time. If an ABS is used by multiple parties, the users must ensure that the ABS is accompanied by the appropriate instructions;
4. The materials used in the manufacture of the ABS as well as the design and construction of the ABS are consistent with the results from similar applications which form the basis of the regulations of the German TÜV Product service GmbH. However, avalanches are often random and unpredictable phenomena. There could be forces and circumstances associated with an avalanche which exceed the foregoing design criteria and measurements. The wearer should be aware that the ABS as a whole and its individual components (including but not limited to the material of the balloon, the holding material, the back pack, the bag, the back pack straps, etc.) might not be capable of withstanding the forces which occur during any particular avalanche;
5. The manufacturer and distributor of the ABS and of its authorized carrying pack are only responsible for materials used within the tests of the German TÜV Product service GmbH. This liability extends only to ABS bags, ABS cartridges, ABS accessories and packs which are not damaged, are fully operational, have not been tampered with or altered and have been used according to the instructions;
6. Upon buying the ABS, the purchaser thereby acknowledges and agrees to the conditions of sale as set out above;
7. If any part of the foregoing Conditions of Delivery or Conditions of Sale are not enforceable, they shall be severable from the remainder of the conditions, which will remain in full force and effect.
